Back to Top	The Empire of Nelili began as a small kingdom in the southern part of Eninli which was the old name for the large island. In the barbarian tongue it meant home. With the marriage of two powerful kingdoms the empire of Nelili started. Expansion was the theme as conquest brought forth new land and prosperity. Soon the whole large island was under the control of the empire. A few years ago a ship containing some noble families vacationing on some islands sparked a rescue mission from Tineno(Ti Ne No) a captian of an elite military group. He went forth to rescue some of the noble families who were kidnapped. He called upon some favors from powerful people. Along with his men there was a group of 6 sorcerers who came along. Behind them came part of the empire's army. They were unable to rescue any of the families. This rescue mission turned into one of conquest. The small islands to the west of Nelili where previously controlled by small kingdoms and pirates. With the destruction of all people inside one of the pirate towns the force turned it's eyes to the kingdoms who harbored those who helped in the kidnapping. What began as a rescue mission turned into conquest. Other activities like this kept happening. A reason for Nelili to send a military force to a small kingdom and soon after the invasion over more land is added to the empire. Recently reports of the persecution in a nearby kingdom and people fleeing for thier lives has brought the empires attention to the southern island of Genkin. Merchants and various visiting nobles have reported being robbed and threatened by the locals there. Near the birthplace of the orginal kingdom there is the city of Melorakka. The name has long since been forgotten by most of history(knowledge history 30 for true name of the city and its history) The city of Mel contains the Strandir School of Sorcery. It is a good sized city aprox 30,000 people. The school is also rather large with 200 students at various levels of power and staff of 1,200. Tineno(Ti Ne No)
